A slave processor can be connected/controlled by its master via Cresnet or Ethernet. The 'Controlling' ('Master') processor can utilize a Slave's available features (RS232 ports, IR ports, etc.), but not its processing power. When configured as a slave, the remote processor does not run its OS or a SIMPL program. 2-Series processors can be configured to operate in '2-Series Remote Processor' ('Slave') mode.
